The Creative Process

Every limited edition piece at Elciela begins its journey as an original artwork created by the artists we collaborate with. These authentic creations serve as the foundation for our unique collections of both wearable art and wall pieces, preserving each artist's distinct vision and creative expression.

Working closely with our artistic director, each artwork undergoes a meticulous transformation process. For our wall art pieces, we ensure the highest quality reproduction that captures every nuance and detail of the original work. For our wearable collection, the artwork is thoughtfully adapted and refined to create a design that harmoniously translates onto silk while maintaining its artistic integrity. Whether destined to become a twilly, scarf, or wall piece, each design is carefully considered to maximize its impact in its final form.

Our partnership with Como's premier silk artisans plays a crucial role in the production of our wearable art pieces. Their generations of expertise guide us in selecting the perfect silk quality for each specific design, ensuring that every piece showcases the artwork in its finest form. Similarly, for our wall art pieces, we work with specialized fine art printers who maintain the highest standards of color accuracy and detail reproduction.

This collaboration between the featured artists, artistic director, and our silk partners results in limited edition pieces that are true to the original artwork while being reimagined as either luxurious wearable items or wall artworks. Through this careful attention to detail and commitment to quality, we preserve the essence of the original artwork while creating pieces that tell unique stories and celebrate artistic expression in multiple forms.
