Derin Ekin Kenter

Born in Ankara in 1998, Derin Ekin Kenter is a printmaker dedicated to expanding the possibilities of her medium. After graduating at the top of her class in Graphic Design from Atılım University, she honed her skills in traditional techniques through etching studies in Italy at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bari and an internship at the Akbank Sanat Lithography Studio. Her academic pursuit continued with a fully-funded Master's in Visual Communication Design at Işık University, where her thesis explored "Printmaking as a Sustainable Animation Technique."

Kenter is the founder of Derin Print Shop, Turkey's sole collaborative etching studio, which has since its 2021 inception partnered with over 20 artists to produce more than 50 limited-edition prints and held an exhibition at the Cité des Arts in Paris. Her expertise recently led her to a residency at Copenhagen's prestigious Borch Editions, where she worked on prints for renowned artist Julie Mehretu.
