Danilo Mileta is a Bolivian artist from Santa Cruz, a city on the border of the Amazon whose vibrant colors, flora, and fauna deeply inform his work, which deconstructs these elements through a vision of the unconscious. His process begins with intuitive, random stains on the canvas that act as visual triggers; through the psychological phenomenon of pareidolia, he discovers animals, faces, and objects emerging from these abstract forms as if they were a radiograph of his subconscious. Stimulated by music and imagery yet always unpredictable, the result is a figurative and surreal composition guided by his inner child, leading to a deliberately cartoonish and innocent aesthetic.
